Sciatica can seriously suck. Characterised by pain that travels from the lower back, through the buttock and down one leg, it can leave the sufferer in near-constant pain and discomfort. The pain can be set off by the slightest movement – a bend in the wrong direction, or even a sneeze. Usually, it feels like burning, mild tingling, weakness or aching.
